Emergency Department Entrance Temporary Relocation
Due to construction on the acute care tower on the south end of the Medical Center, the Emergency Department (ED) entrance has been temporarily moved to the West/Imaging Center entrance. Rescue squads are still able to access the squad bay as usual. However, patient parking and access have been moved and are conveniently located just north of the ED. Patients and visitors are encouraged to enter off of 23rd Street, as the ED currently is not accessible from Clarkson Street. Patients may be brought to the West/Imaging Center entrance, which has a covered entrance for drop off, check in, and escort to the ED. After hours visitors will also need to use this entrance until further notice.
Dr. Terry Wooldridge explains the dangers and warning signs of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), which for some infants, can be life-threatening.
